Improve the lives of children living below the poverty line. Create a better future for Australia's children.
Since 2014, Big Group Hug has been a lifeline for babies and children living in desperate circumstances. We ensure little ones have the essentials every child deserves – warm clothes, safe cots, car seats and prams, nourishing formula, toys, books and more – all free of charge.
Every year, with the help of hundreds of dedicated volunteers, we prepare and distribute thousands of curated aid packs through a trusted network of 1,500 health and welfare professionals. These packs bring comfort, safety, and dignity to children facing poverty, family violence, homelessness, and other crises.
But the need is growing. One in six children in Melbourne lives in poverty today.
Why leave a gift in your will?
A gift in your will – no matter the size – helps ensure that no child is left behind. Your legacy will mean that children and caregivers in desperate situations, including the following examples, receive critical aid:
- Experiencing family violence
- Facing financial hardship, or under/unemployment
- Needing temporary emergency relief
- Seeking refuge or asylum
- Living with illness, disability or mental health challenges
- Children currently homeless or in unstable housing
- Children in foster, kinship or out of home care
By including Big Group Hug in your Will, you are helping to create a future where every child grows up safe, cared for, and with dignity.
Your lasting impact
Big Group Hug is a vital part of Victoria’s community safety net. Distributing thousands of essential items, while also saving tonnes of waste from landfill. With your support, we can keep responding to rising demand and ensure future generations of children have what they need to survive and thrive.
Leaving a gift in your Will is more than a donation – it’s a legacy of love, protection, and opportunity for the most vulnerable children in our community.
Your generosity means we’re able to improve the lives of children living below the poverty line while we repurpose and rehome items to reduce landfill waste, creating a better future for Australia’s children.
The future your legacy can create
Imagine a world where every child feels loved, supported, and dignified. With your help, we can make this vision a reality. By leaving a gift in your Will to Big Group Hug, you can ensure that vulnerable children receive the care and assistance they need to thrive. Reaching every child experiencing vulnerability for years to come.
Your Choice
Gifts of any size are truly appreciated. Leaving just 2% of your estate can help countless children into the future. Some people choose to leave a percentage, or a defined amount, or the residue of the estate (what remains after you have provided for your family) – sometimes shares or a piece of property.
