The Hon. Ros Spence MP visited the Big Group Hug Bundoora warehouse this morning and spent time with CEO Bernadene Voss, and volunteers.
They discussed our vital work for children and families in need. She learned about the challenges we face in providing support to families and the growing need from the community.
Min. Spence praised the efforts of the volunteers and expressed her gratitude for the work they do. She highlighted the importance of supporting vulnerable families and children, especially during difficult times.
The visit was an opportunity for the Min. Spence to see first-hand the impact of Big Group Hug’s work in the community. She was impressed by the dedication and passion of the volunteers and promised to continue to support our efforts.



The Hon. Ros Spence MP is the Member for Kalkallo and holds several important portfolios, including Minister for Prevention of Family Violence since June 2022, Minister for Community Sport since March 2020, Minister for Suburban Development since December 2022.
Prior to her political career, Min. Spence worked in the community sector, advocating for the rights of women and children. She is known for her strong commitment to social justice and equality, and has been actively involved in supporting various charitable organisations in the community.
Big Group Hug enjoyed the opportunity to meet with Min. Spence and share with her the increased needs and requests, particularly due to family violence.
