Children's Week: 21-29 October 2023
Children’s Week is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children. It is based on the articles expressed in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), highlighting the importance of play, wellbeing and protection.
Children’s Week 2023 will be held between Saturday 21 October to Sunday 29 October 2023.
The theme in 2023 is: “Children have the right to relax, play and to take part in activities they enjoy”. The theme is a simplified version of Article 31 of the UNCRC.
We encourage the community, schools and workplaces to host a fundraising morning (or afternoon) tea for Big Group Hug during Children’s Week with the theme of ‘Kids Party Food’.
