Cox Auto Group recently backed our Pints for Purpose event at The Palace in South Melbourne, showing their genuine commitment to supporting children and families doing it tough.
We caught up with Director Ashley Cox to learn what drew them to partner with Big Group Hug, what the experience meant to their team, and why he believes more businesses should get involved in supporting local kids.
Firstly, thank you so much for your support of our recent event! What inspired Cox Auto Group to support Big Group Hug?
We’re committed to giving back to our community, and Big Group Hug’s mission resonated with our team. We were excited to support an organisation making a positive impact in our area.
Word of mouth can be so powerful! Could you share your experience participating in our Pints for Purpose event?
The stories shared by Fatima Yousufi (captain of Afghanistan’s Women’s National Football Team) and Jules Lund (media personality and founder of TRIBE) were truly inspiring. There was also a wonderful sense of community and camaraderie in the room. It was amazing to see so many people from different backgrounds come together to support Big Group Hug. The event was a huge success, and we were thrilled to see so many people come together to support a great cause. Our team had a fantastic time, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
That’s great to hear! What benefits have you observed, internally or externally, from engaging in community and charity initiatives?
Engaging in community and charity initiatives gives our employees a greater sense of engagement and purpose in their everyday work knowing the positive impact these efforts have. This also creates goodwill within the community, fostering stronger connections and trust. As a result, we’ve seen a significant boost in employee morale and engagement, along with increased brand awareness and an enhanced reputation within our community.
We’d love to hear more about the feedback you received from employees and customers!
Our employees and customers have been overwhelmingly positive about our community involvement. Many have expressed appreciation for our commitment to giving back and have even gotten involved themselves.
